COME HOME WORLD PREMIERE AT ORPHEUM PERFORMING ARTS CENTER

At the conclusion of CBE’s weeklong Works & Process tech residency hosted by Catskill Mountain Foundation, the company will offer the world premiere of its 10th commissioned score and 35th original dance, Come Home, which Chronogram writes “channels the vigor of sea shanties into a kinetic dance of restless sailors: stomping rhythms, spray-tossed movement, and a surge of maritime myth crashing through contemporary choreography.”  

With original score and soundscape by Eric Dietz and featuring shanties and songs of the sea, Come Home has direction, choreography, set and costume design by Chase Brock, with lighting design by Japhy Weideman. The world premiere is danced by Jane Abbott, Maiko Adela, Derek Crescenti, Kaylee DaCosta, John Guaragna and MaliQ, with Parker Aimone and Maya Kazzaz serving as understudies.  

CBE previously performed in the Orpheum in 2017, where the company previewed Men I’ve Known and performed classic CBE repertory works.
